Board Chairman

A leading investment banker, Mr. Apaloo has received extensive training in international markets in the major financial centres of the U.S., Britain, Asai and Africa. He has a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Ghana. He also has an FCIB certificate from the Ghana Institute of Bankers. Mr. Apaloo was responsible for the development of local money market that controlled more than 50% of the short-term liquidity market in Ghana, Money market syndication of short-term GHS 100 billion Cedis in financial facilitation for Ghana Airways Limited, and leading the successful underwriting of the first private placement of Home Finance Company Limited (then HFC Bank Limited).

Prior to being a board chairman at FABL, Mr. Apaloo has held several positions in many organizations, most notable of them been; CEO/Chairman for Frapa Company limited (2005 – Now), CEO for CDH Financial Holdings Limited (1987 -2005) and Investment Banker, Merchant Bank Ghana Limited (1977–87). Equipped with both knowledge and experience, Mr. Apaloo has proven to be more than capable of chairing the affairs of FABL. He enjoys music and even plays the piano and guitar.
